After completing his pre-medical education with honors in 1983, Dr. Ovsepian went on to Kaunas Medical School in Kaunas, Lithuania, where he received his M.D. in 1989. He received post-graduate training in internal medicine at Kaunas Public Hospital/Kaunas Medical School. In 1992, he came to the United States and became a post-graduate research assistant in the Dept. of Pathology and Hematology at Loyota University Medical Center. In 1996, he became certified under the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.

In July of 1996, Dr. Ovsepian began his residency in internal medicine at NY Flushing Hospital Medical Center, an affiliate of the New York Hospital Cornell University Medical College, became Chief Resident in 1998 and received Outstanding Senior Resident Award. Dr. Ovsepian completed his fellowship in cardiology and electrophysiology in 2003 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, where he was fully trained in the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology, including radio frequency ablation, ICD placement, biventricular pacemaker/ICD implantation and management.

Dr. Ovsepian is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He currently practices at Suffolk Heart Group with privileges at North Shore University Hospital Manhasset, South Side Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center.
