David J. D'Agate

After completing an advanced degree in biophysics and physiology at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., Dr. D'Agate completed his residency at Winthrop University Hospital in 2002 and a fellowship in adult cardiovascular disease at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City in 2005. Dr. D'Agate recently co-authored a book chapter and numerous publications in various areas of cardiovascular disease. His interests include: atherosclerosis and diabetes/obesity, non-invasive imaging of the coronary arteries, primary/secondary prevention of atherosclerotic heart disease, and the diagnosis/treatment of peripheral vascular disease. Dr. D'Agate is only one of a few cardiologists in the United States with advanced training in vascular imaging technology (R.V.T.). Dr. D'Agate is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology. He currently practices as a member of Suffolk Heart Group with privileges at Southside Hospital of Bay Shore, Good Samaritan Hospital of West Islip, and St. Catherine of Siena of Smithtown, New York.
