David S. Gidseg, MD
Adult Cardiology

After graduating with distinction from Cornell University in 1999, Dr. Gidseg went on to earn his M.D. at Cornell University Weill Medical College in New York City in 2003, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed his internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2006, where he served as an assistant chief resident. He remained at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell for his cardiology fellowship which he completed in 2009 and he received advanced training in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac CT angiography. Dr. Gidseg is board-certified in internal medicine and currently practices as a member of Suffolk Heart Group with privileges at Southside Hospital of Bay Shore, Good Samaritan Hospital of West Islip, and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center of Smithtown, New York. He has publications in various areas of cardiovascular disease and has presented his research at national meetings.
